"These two months of intense work in the summer session have not only to improved my English, but also kept in contact with different cultures that enriched my knowledge and capacity of dealing with so many customs. However, an important purpose behind all that hard work, I believe, is constructing a great atmosphere in which friendship grows. As the American Language Program touched my life, I would recommend it to any foreign student."
Li Jila-Ching (Joseph) from Taiwan wrote:
"It’s my first time to come to the U.S.A. and take classes in ALP. I made a lot of friends from many other countries. Teachers are all experienced and patient. In addition, the staff are so nice and can resolve all of our questions. Actually, I learned a lot from classes such as how to speak fluently, write a great essay, read faster and know American culture. I really had fun this summer and strongly recommend you take ALP classes before entering into undergraduate or graduate school."
Hyeuk Yoon from Korea wrote:
"I studied in ALP during spring and summer. I had a chance to meet other countries’ people and speak English with my teachers and friends. "Before coming to America, when I should talk with English native speakers, I often felt like I’m in the wrong place. After taking summer courses here. I have more confidence and relaxation when I talk with English native speakers. For me, it is the most important achievement of this summer in ALP. Also, teachers were very eager to teach and listen to students, and classmates were stimulating each other to learn and improve English. "
