John Marshall, who has taught English for more than 30 years, has knowledge of Greek, Spanish, German, Arabic, and some French. John began his career as a volunteer English teacher in Kenya and went on to teach in Zambia and Oman, as well as London, where he worked with Indian and Pakistani immigrants. He also worked in British Consulates in Caracas, Venezuela and Nairobi, Kenya.
John joined ALP in 2008 and teaches IELTS Preparation, Study Skills, Fundamental Grammar and World Seminar. He also developed and taught a course titled Wall Street Stocks and Bonds and assists ALP students working in the CSUF language laboratory.
After earning a BA in History and a Diploma in Teaching English Overseas from Manchester University, UK, John went on to attain an MA in African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. He also has an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Institute of Education, London.
